Welcome to The Misty Chateau. By browsing this website and purchasing our artisanal products, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are governed by French law and EU consumer protection regulations.

1. SAFETY & PRODUCT USE

At The Misty Chateau, we craft each candle with care, but fire is a powerful element.

  • The Agreement: By purchasing our products, you agree to use them safely according to the warning labels provided on the packaging (e.g., trimming wicks to 5mm, never leaving a candle unattended).
  • Liability: The Misty Chateau shall not be held responsible for any damage or injury resulting from the misuse of our products, improper burning practices, or neglect.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Our products are intended for purchase by individuals who have reached the legal age of majority in their country of residence. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All designs, “Scent Sommelier” descriptions, and literary-inspired labels (including 221B, Dusk at Pemberley, and The Chateau) are the intellectual property of The Misty Chateau. Reproduction without written consent is strictly prohibited.

Return & Refund Policy

1. THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (EU & UK)

In accordance with European Union consumer law, you have the right to change your mind.

  • The Window: You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to notify us that you wish to return it.
  • The Condition: To be eligible for a refund, candles and sprays must be unused, unlit, and in their original packaging. Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns for candles that have been lit.

2. RETURN PROCESS

To begin a return, please email us at themistychateau@icloud.com to receive your Return Authorization.

  • Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item.

3. DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS

We take great care in packaging our “Misty” treasures, but if your order arrives broken or defective (e.g., shattered glass):

  • Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damage.
  • We will arrange for a replacement or a full refund at no additional cost to you.

4. REFUNDS

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notification. Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method (PayPal/WooCommerce) within 7–10 business days.
